The picture describes me and my family. I am the black sheep in the family. Is there anything only my family understands, NO. They all think I am nuts.
My writing career is a perfect example of it. I had quit a very good paying job to start my writing career. All my family members thought I was crazy. It was a hobby, not a career.
I believe if you have a dream, you need to pursue it, not matter what others may tell you, especially your family. They have the best intentions, but it is what they think you should do, not necessarily what you think you should do.
Life is too short. You must try. Will you always succeed, maybe, maybe not? But at least you will know you gave it your best shot.
Who knows, maybe in pursuing your dream, no matter what your family says, might lead you to something bigger and better.
Only you know what is in your heart, follow it!
“All Things Are Possible If You BELIEVE”
I am a blacksheep too. awesome post
Thank you, Cathy! Then you more than understand! Continue to follow your heart.
Familial support is a rare and precious thing.
That is so true Holly!
Good for you. Determination and persistence are what you need to achieve your dreams. It’s nice if our families support those dreams, but that’s not always possible.
That is so true Sadira! You have to do what is in your heart, so you can live the life of your dreams.
Only you know what’s going to make you happy. In a lot of ways writing isn’t a choice. It’s a way of life.
You are spot on! It is a way of life.
